In 1986 Honda established a new brand for its most luxurious models- Acura. Cars of this brand have been sold since March 1986, especially in the USA and Canada, and since 2006 – in China and since 2008 – in Japan. Acura cars are produced in Japan and since 1996 in the USA and Canada.

Latest premieres: New York 2006 – 2nd generation MDX prototype; September 2006 – 2nd generation MDX, TL Type S; Los Angeles, November 2006 - concept car Advanced Sedan Concept; Detroit 2007 - concept car Advanced Sports Car Concept; Chicago 2008 - RL restyling; New York 2008 - 2nd generation TSX; June 2008 – RDX restyling; July 2008 – 4th generation TL (production in the US); September 2008 – CSX restyling.

In 2005 ended the production of the EL sedan (in Canada) and of NSX coupe (in Japan), in 2006 – of 1st generation MDX (in Canada) and RSX (in Japan), and in 2008 – of 1st generation TSX (in Japan) and 3rd generation TL (in the USA). Future plans: 2008 – NSX II.
