The company was established in 1913 and in 1914 it created its first and in 1919 its second prototype. In 1922 the serial production of a sports roadster "1 1/2-litre" was initiated. Aston Martin has been always renown for very luxurious and expensive sports cars. In 1949 the company bought the Lagonda Company. From September 1987 Aston Martin was owned by Ford, and from March 2007 – it is owned by the David Richard’s concern (Prodrive Company owner).

Between the years of 2004-2005 the V12 Vanquish Zagato Roadster model was also manufactured, and from 2001 to July 2007 – the V12 Vanquish.

Aston Martin V8 Vantage, V8 Vantage Roadster
The new model AM V8 prototype was released at the 2003 Detroit Car Show for the very first time The March 2005 Geneva Car Show witnessed the premiere of the serially manufactured coupe V8 Vantage. It is the smallest and cheapest vehicle from the Aston Martin family. Dysponuje on 2-miejscowym nadwoziem wykonanym z aluminium, stali i materiałów kompozytowych. The new V8-4,7 l/420 H.P. engine available from May 2008 is manufactured from aluminum alloys and placed at the front of the car and the 6-gear manual or automatic gear box is located near the back vehicle axis. V8 Vantage maximum speed amounts to 290 km/h and reaches 100 km/h in 4,8 s. The new Aston Martin is manufactured in the new factory in Gaydon in United Kingdom and its engine is manufacture in the Ford plants of Köln in Germany. At the November 2006 Los Angeles Car Show equipped with the same engine unit, V8 Vantage Roadster, was also released. With its concept, style and performance the V8 Vantage model reaches back to the very long and splendid Aston Martin sports model tradition. In the years of 2007-2008 the new V8 Vantage N400 and V8 Vantage Roadster N400 equipped with v8-4,3 l/400 H.P. engine were also commercially available.
