The 1952 established Company, from August 1968 until 1972 on license from Renault 8, manufactured Dacia 1100 sedan. In August 1969 the serial production of Dacia 1300 hatchback was initiated on license from Renault 12. After many modernizations the models were manufactured from July 2004 in the following versions: 1300/1301 (1969-1984), 1300 Break (1973-1984), 1310 (1979-2004), 1210/1410 (1983-lata.90), 1310 Break (1980-2004), 1310/1410 Sport coupe (1981-1992), 1320 CN1 hatchback (1987-1990), 1325 Liberta hatchback (1991-1996). Pick-up versions: 1300, 1302, 1304, 1305, 1307 and 1309 were manufactured from 1975 until December 2006. The 500 Lastun hatchback was presented in 1982 and was manufactured between the years of 1989-91. Between 1995-2003 the Nova/Super Nova sedan was manufactured and between the years of 2003-2005 Solenza sedan. In July 1999 the Renault concern took over 51% of shares of Dacia and in 2000 this share was increased to 73,29%, on the verge of 2000/2001 the aforementioned number amounted to 80,14%, in 2001 to 92,72%, and finally in 2003 it amounted to 99%. In 2005 the serial assembly of Dacia was initiated in Morocco.
The latest releases: Geneva '2006 - prototype SUV Logan Steppe; Paris '2006 - Logan MCV, Logan Prestige, Logan restyling, January 2007 - Logan Van; September 2007 - Logan Pick-up; Geneva '2008 - Sandero; June 2008 r. - prototype Logan Pickup Crossover; July 2008 - Logan restyling; Paris '2008 - Logan MCV restyling. Plans for the future: 2009 - Logan minivan. Plans for the far future: in 2010 the Company plans to manufacture 1 million of Dacia Logan and Renault Logan vehicles, where 350 000 of cars will be manufactured in Romania.
